At What Point Does WoW Become an Addiction?

Question by rivera573344: At what point does WoW become an addiction?
I started playing WoW about 1yr 1/2 ago and I admit I play alot (usually 2-4 hours, more on weekends out of boredom), what can I say? It’s good times =D

My bills all get paid, on time. I’m working part time and going to school, getting good grades btw (no C’s …. yet).

So my question is, at what point does WoW become an addiction?

I’ve heard lots of “horror stories” about people losing their GF’s, friends, basically their social lives. But in my case I don’t really have a “social life” right now, so I guess I didn’t have anything to lose? I’m a very shy person. At least with WoW I’m interacting with somebody and having fun at the same time.

Thoughts?

if it interferes in a negative way on your relationships with people (even secluding yourself) it is a habit. You’ve got to mind your priorities too.

It isn’t addicting. To be addicted to something, your body needs something in it to be addicted to. Like a drug, or anything, really. WoW does not supply this. It is just a game. There is no such thing as video game addiction.
