I’ve also started my dad on coconut oil again. I lost my Mother to
Alzhemier’s disease. It’s a terrible illness, one loses their loved one
twice. There are no real effective, long last treatments for Alzheimers and
other forms of dementia. We have nothing to lose by trying coconut oil. I’m
grateful for Dr. Newport for providing this information. Thank you, Mary
    Newport. <3?

When Dr. Newport’s husband Steven was diagnosed with early onset
Alzheimer’s, as a Doctor herself, she explored routine treatment options.
But when his symptoms became so severe that he was not able to participate
in clinical trials, her scientific deductions led to coconut oil, which has
    led to amazing results.

Mary T. Newport, M.D. grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was educated at
Xavier University and University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She is
board certified in pediatrics and neonatology, training at Children’s
Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, and Medical University Hospital in
Charleston, SC. She is founding director of the newborn intensive care unit
at Spring Hill Regional Hospital, practicing full-time through All
Children’s Specialty Physicians and volunteer clinical faculty at
University of South Florida. She was also founding director of the neonatal
intensive Care unit at Mease Hospital Dunedin.?

Know any weed growers? Ask them for 4 or 5 MATURE leaves a day from the
vegetative stage of their crop. These leaves are not used by the stoners
because they contain very little THC. Make a cold smoothie out of them but
DO NOT allow any heat because this will change the compounds. Raw unheated
leaves have no psychotropic effect. I am not a doctor but I have seen this
help. Ref, DR. WILLIAM COURTNEY. You will need to read his stuff because I
don’t thinks it’s mentioned in Youtube.

Thank you so much my mother was just admitted to a nursing home at age 72
and I so hope that this could improve her quality of life even if it is
just a little it would be such a wonderful relief for me and my family.

I really wish this would work, however it appears to not work for my mum.
Using both Coconut oil and MCT.

Coconut oil is not a whole food. It has to be extracted from coconut meat,
which is a whole food. Dr. Newport’s story amounts to nothing more than an
anecdote. There are no clinical trials which I’m aware of showing coconut
oil to be beneficial for Alzheimer’s, meaning she has no business shouting
it from the rooftops as a cure for that disease at this point.

  • Azamat Bagatov says:

just look here In 2012 it was announced in an epub ahead of print[5] that
researchers had discovered that bexarotene reduced amyloid plaque and
improved mental functioning in a small sample of mice engineered to exhibit
Alzheimer’s symptoms. It is thought that bexarotene stimulates expression
of apolipoprotein E (ApoE), which leads to intracellular clearance of
?-Amyloid.”We’ve fixed Alzheimer’s in mice lots of times, so we need to
    move forward…

  • Claudia M says:

Dr Newport, I am from Argentina and here there is no cooconut oil as in
usa, then I decided to make it at home and found the way to do it in
internet, it is cooking the coconut milk to get the oil, it is ok to do it
this way? It is posible to use striped dehydrated coconut to make it? Also
I would like to know if it is good to eat coconut or drink its water or
ketones are only obtained from the oil? Thank you very much Dr Newport for
all you have done to help to fight with this terrible disease

  • greasemonkey1228 says:

Coconut oil is a whole food, not just a single active ingredient. We don’t
know precisely how this food interacts with itself in the body. When we
isolate what we assume to be the active ingredient, synergistic effects
might be dulled or lost. Dr. Newport fed her husband the whole food, as
well as MCT oil at the same time, confounding our ability to narrow down
what caused her husband’s improvements. But, obviously he did improve. It’s
a result worth noting and building upon.

  • Azamat Bagatov says:

yes , she has been taking targretin since september 2012, she has had the
deseaase for 10 years now.noticed a huge improuvement the first 2 days
after administration of the first dose… She would not have been alive
today without this bexarotene drug , i am very happy to say she is maybe
the first person in the world who has been cured…

  • Donna Merrill says:

Thank you Dr. Newport for doing this treatment and showing us how effective
coconut oil works. I especially paid attention to this because of your
reputation as a doctor. This really “sold” me on using this. I will share
this to the many people I know that have people dealing with this issue.
